JPC have now been visiting customer premises for the last 2 weeks and have now caught up with the back log of calls for customers we couldn’t visit to help during lockdown.
As a valued customer, we wanted to update you on the steps we are taking to help minimise the spread of COVID-19.
We are continuing to follow and monitor official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health Wales carefully. It is of vital importance for us to be in a position to ensure that procedures are in place to support the health and well-being of our customers and JPC.
To help combat the spread of COVID-19, we have been putting precautionary safety measures in place, including:
· Educating ourselves on prevention.
· Emphasizing frequent and proper hand washing
· Cleaning of hands before and after home/office visits (hand sanitiser in car)
· Wearing face masks in customer’s premises, washing and changing these on a daily basis
· Cash is still accepted but card payments are taken by the customer reading out the card details to JPC rather than touching any JPC card readers to avoid risk. This is still a secure way to make payments.
Customers have continued to drop off & collect computers at our premises in a socially distanced way. We have been sucessfully using remote control software since the beginning of lockdown. This enables us to work on your computer remotely (only after your permission is given to connect). Some problems will allow us to do this providing your internet connection is fast enough & payment by card can be taken over the phone or bank transfer. Other problems (i.e., wireless networking or printing) would still require a visit, so please contact us to discuss any issues and the best way of solving them.
It may be a good opportunity for your computer to receive a Healthcheck – particularly if it has been over a year since our last visit or your Antivirus software needs renewing. This could be done by remote control.
If you feel unwell, please do not request any home/office visits until you are feeling better as a precaution to JPC and other customers but please consider the remote control alternative to a visit or a collect & return service at additional cost.
In line with government guidance, we are continuing to operate as usual. We will continue to keep in touch with you and follow official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health Wales carefully.
